Conférences de Pawel Maciejko (Johns Hopkins University)

Paweł Maciejko, invité dans le cadre des échanges EHESS- John Hopkins par Sylvie-Anne Goldberg (EJ), est professeur à John Hopkins University,où il détient la chaire Leonard and Helen R. Stulma, et enseigne l’histoire, la pensée, la culture et la religion juive. Spécialiste du mouvement hérétique frankiste en Europe orientale et en Pologne, Paweł Maciejko a abondamment publié sur ces thèmes, notamment : Sabbatian Heresy: Writings on Mysticism, Messianism, and the Origins of Jewish Modernity (2017) ; Jonathan Eibeschütz, And I Came this Day unto the Fountain [Va-Avo ha-Yom el ha-Ayyin]. (2014; 2^nd revised edition 2016) ; The Mixed Multitude: Jacob Frank and the Frankist Movement 1755-1816 (2011, 2015). Il a également édité avec Scott Ury,Making History Jewish: Studies in Honor of Israel Bartal (2020) et, avec Theodor Dunkelgrün, Bastards and Believers: Jewish Converts to Christianity from the Bible to the Present (2020).

Au cours de son séjour il interviendra dans divers séminaires et rencontrera tout étudiant désireux d’échanges.
